Once again, Ricky Carmichael of Suzuki team landed the victory at the Mototees Southwick National, the round 3 of 12 of the AMA Toyota Motocross Championship presented by FMF. This is his 99th AMA Motocross win and 147th of his entire career.
"Seven years of training (with trainer Aldon Baker) really pay off at a track like this. I’ve done pretty well here over the years, but let me tell you, it doesn’t make it any easier," says Ricky Carmichael. "It is really special and meant a lot to me. To be honest, it’s the only reason that I came here. I wasn’t planning on coming to race Southwick but the Proclamation changed my mind." He added.
Kawazaki’s James Stewart and Yamaha’s Grant Langston, joined Carmichael in the podium. The two riders finished the race 2nd and 3rd overall, respectively.
