Yes, indeed, my friends. This is another feather to the cap of thousands of Ducati fans and much reason to rejoice as the Ducati 1098 has been voted "Most Beautiful Motorcycle" at the 2006 edition of the Milan-based EICMA show. This came from more than 24,000 motorcycle enthusiasts who participated in a competition organised by the Italian magazine ‘Motociclismo.’ Every year, the popular motorcycle magazine carries out surveys among the visitors to vote for the most beautiful motorcycle of the year.  

With more than 30 percent of the total aggregate votes, the Ducati 1098 came a the runaway winner behind the MV Agusta Brutale 910R and the Yamaha YZF-R1. I guess I better check out the reviews and its specs if it, indeed, is a pretty two-wheeled lady to ride on. Check out the Motorbike News for more details on the event.

lately, i have been obsessed with ducati motorbikes. i just love those stylish italian bikes. and i can’t resist linking their website.

I cannot remember exactly when I started to become fascinated with motorbikes. All I know is, when I first had a motorbike, a hand-me-down 1996 Honda Rebel 250 from my dad, biking has become my life. I’ve gone to places with my rebel, and I love the feel of being like one everytime I drive it to the suburbs, to dirt roads, to the freeway.. wherever.

I know that thousands die because of motorcycle accidents each year. But trust me when I say that it’s true what Hunter Thompson once said.. a time will just come when the thrill of speed will overcome the fear of death. Any true-blue motorcyclist can attest to that.
